ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND THEIR PARENTS

Come hear College Advisor Gary Canter at the Maine Jewish Museum discuss:

EVERYTHING YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT CHOOSING, APPLYING TO, AND PAYING FOR COLLEGE!*

*but were afraid to ask!

One the first and second Mondays in November (the 6th and the 13th) at 6:30 PM, Gary Canter, owner of College Placement Services, will give two presentations about the college process. The first is for parents and students and concerns researching, selecting and applying to colleges. The second talk is more for parents and is on the topic of paying for college, including an explanation of and an approach to financial aid and scholarship searches.

Talks are free and open to the public, and are for high school students of all ages (and their families). They are particularly relevant to current seniors and juniors.

Gary Canter (AKA “The College Guy”) is a certified guidance counselor and a private consultant, and has owned and operated College Placement Services since 1996. During that time he’s worked with over one thousand students and families providing assistance with the time sensitive and anxiety provoking process of planning for education after high school. Gary’s presentations are both insightful and humorous, and he assures us that you’ll leave more relaxed and knowledgeable than before you came.

Refreshments will be provided.

When: November 6th and November 13th at 6:30 PM
Where: Maine Jewish Museum (Etz Chaim Synagogue), 267 Congress Street, Portland, Maine

Talks are free, but please phone (772-9711) or email (gcanter1@maine.rr.com) Gary Canter to register so we’ll know how much space is needed to accommodate.
